The FT03 Transducers were developed to measure muscle contractions isometrically. The ranges cover applications from single fibres to whole cat legs. Isotonic measurements can be made with externally applied springs.
The FT03 has been an industry standard and is especially suited for in vitro tissue bath contractility applications. The bonded strain gages are essentially impervious to tissue bath solutions. A range of 0 to 50 grams is the most sensitive range for many applications.
